Capitol Tech Welcomes
More Undergrads This Fall
Local STEM university celebrates
enrollment growth and top salary
outcomes in Maryland
C
apitol Technology University’s
Fall 2026 semester has welcomed its largest freshman class in recent years.
Enrollment data for the 2026–27 academic year reflect growth across Capitol
Tech’s programs, with total enrollment
up 62% over the past six academic
years. The undergraduate class is up
14% from 2025 and 55% from 2023–24.
Located near the vibrant Baltimore
and DC business ecosystems, Capitol
Tech’s proven-ROI education programs
are connecting graduates with job
opportunities in top tech fields including engineering, cybersecurity, computer science, aviation, business management, and more.
In a 10-year analysis by the Maryland
Longitudinal Data System (MLDS)
Center, it was found that Capitol Tech
graduates at all academic levels working
in Maryland earned the highest average
annual salaries among their Maryland
peers, estimated at $70,000 for bachelor’s graduates, $115,000 for master’s
graduates, and $176,000 for doctoral
graduates.
Capitol Tech has also been designated an Opportunity University by
Carnegie’s Student Access and Earnings
Classification based on median earnings
of $83,027 for alumni within eight years
after graduation.
How does Capitol Tech get these
results? By investing in student success
before and after they enroll.
“The strongest measure of growth is
how effectively we help students move
toward their goals,” said Kim Wittler,
Associate Vice President of Enrollment
and Financial Aid. “Our admissions team
works closely with dedicated faculty
and staff to help prospective students
navigate the enrollment process and

can support their career ambitions. This
enrollment momentum reflects a university-wide commitment to student success.”
Capitol Tech’s investment continues
after enrollment by continually optimizing academic programs, industry partnerships, expert faculty, and technology infrastructure. A recent campus
improvement campaign, made possible
through a Maryland Capital Projects
Match grant, has helped expand student
access to modern labs, learning environments, and resources for practical,
career-relevant education.
“Students are asking an important
question before choosing a university: What return can I expect from
this degree?” said President Bradford
L. Sims. “At Capitol Tech, the answer
begins with specialized programs,
hands-on learning, faculty with industry experience, and strong connections
to the sectors shaping the future. Our
continued growth shows that students
at every degree level recognize the value
of an education designed around professional outcomes.”
