The 2025-26 school year begins Aug. 25 in Anne
Arundel County and, barring bad weather, the year
will end for students June 17, 2026.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open
before Labor Day this year. Students in first through
fifth grades and sixth through ninth will return
Monday, Aug. 25. After sixth and ninth graders have a
day to adapt to their new schools, students in grades
seven through 12 return Aug. 26. There is a staggered
start for Early Childhood Intervention, prekindergarten and kindergarten programs.
