A MESSAGE FROM THE
DEPARTMENT
The Department of Citizen Services is pleased to present the 2026–2027 Aging &
Disabilities Resource Guide, designed to support Carroll County residents in living
healthy, independent, and connected lives at every age. As Maryland advances
the vision of a “Longevity Ready Maryland,” the Carroll County Division of Aging &
Disabilities remains committed to helping older adults, people with disabilities,
Veterans, caregivers, and families successfully age in place within the communities
they value.
As a Maryland Access Point (MAP) site, the Division serves as a trusted source for
information, guidance, and support. Our goal is to help individuals and families make
informed decisions that promote independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life.
This guide includes valuable information from government agencies, local businesses,
healthcare providers, and nonpro昀椀t organizations that support aging in place and
community living. Whether you are exploring Medicare Part D plans, caregiver
support, transportation, housing options, Veterans’ services, or wellness opportunities
through our Senior & Community Centers, this guide is designed to help you navigate
available resources with con昀椀dence.
Our knowledgeable team is here to help. Call 410-386-3800 to learn more about
resources and supports for you or your loved one.
