New Wines and
Spirits Will Put You in
the Holiday Spirit
Fashionable and festive beverages
for the season
By Lisa Baldino, Contributing Writer
Get in the holiday spirit with some delicious new
drinks that are sure to make your gatherings …
Mmmm…. merry!
Looking for your next favorite cocktail? You’ll find
wines and cocktails in flavors from sweet to spicy,
starting with San Antonio Winery’s latest addition of
a chillable red wine. You’ll be comfortable taking it
to tailgating and to your holiday party. San Antonio
Winery’s Grape Red is ideal for celebrating a Ravens
game onsite or at home. Unlike traditional reds that
are best at room temperature, this California red wine
is smooth and sweet over ice or refrigerated. Bonus,
Ravens fans – the label is purple!
If that’s not fashionable enough, the RTW (ready
to wear) fashion on New York’s 7th Avenue has nothing on the beverage industry’s RTD (ready to drink)
trend. Consistently tasty and convenient, RTD cocktails
continue their upward trajectory in the marketplace,
as predicted by Wine Enthusiast magazine at this time
last year.
Among the RTDs, creamy drinks are always a hit
for holiday. One obvious tradition that spans generations is eggnog. Adding a shot of rum or brandy makes
it twice as nice, but why not purchase one that is ready
to drink? PA Dutch or Evan Williams Eggnog drinks are
running a close second in taste to homemade eggnog.
White Christmas Margarita is a twist on a margarita featuring Gran Coramino tequila, coconut and orange
liqueur (among others) and looks like cranberries in a
snow drift, eliciting that holiday feeling. Check some of
these out: www.lovetoknow.com/food-drink/cocktails/

Chocolate-flavor reigns with chocolate-infused
martinis, after dinner drinks and cocktails. These
decadent drinks make your mouth water in anticipation.

Stella Rosa Chocolate Hazelnut liqueur is handcrafted with fresh and natural ingredients from the
hills of Italy. The exotic and intricate glass design of the
bottle and its stately label makes it an impressive gift
on its own or in a basket of cheer.
Aperol Spritz, all the rage in Europe, has evolved to
the U.S. in a ready-to-drink cocktail. LaMarco Prosecco
takes the refreshing notes of Aperol combined with
bubbly prosecco and the result is a light, refreshing but
not-too-sweet cocktail.
Spritz Del Conte Classico is an Italian wine cocktail
with a fragrant, crisp white wine flavor infused with
herbal extract and natural bitter orange, making it a
refreshing, light wine cocktail. Spritz Del Conte does
double-duty with a non-alcoholic version of this tasty
drink, addressing consumers fueling the non-alcoholic
market.
On the opposite end of the flavor spectrum, spicy
drinks are emerging in popularity. Stella Rosa Mango
& Chili features a compliment to the current food
explosion around the partnership of mangos and spicy
peppers.
