Anne Arundel County offers a range of private school education options

Anne Arundel County has a number
of private and religious schools serving
thousands of students.
While the selection for young learners is even broader, there are more than
a half-dozen schools offering education
from a young age through high school
graduation in central and north Anne
Arundel.
ANNAPOLIS
St. Mary’s Elementary and High School
This school in downtown Annapolis
serves kindergarten through high school.
It is part of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Key School
Located in Hillsmere, this private
school serves students 2 1/2 years of age to
12th grade in its first, lower, middle and
upper schools. Key says on its website
that it focuses on “experiential learning,
interdisciplinary studies and a global
perspective.”

Multiple campuses
Annapolis Area Christian School
This school serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade. AACS has four
campuses around the county: an Annapolis lower school, a Severn lower school,
an Annapolis middle school and a Severn
upper school.

recently unified its two campuses into
one 114-acre campus. In the fall of 2020,
the school opened the “Eagle Dome,” an
air-supported enclosure with space for
four tennis courts, used for basketball,
volleyball, tennis and flexible space for
outdoor teams when it storms.

While just outside of Anne Arundel County, this school is a short drive
from Ferndale, Brooklyn Park and other
spots in northern Anne Arundel. It offers
all three International Baccalaureate
