“My favorite way to
spend time with my
family is to enjoy our
favorite activities
together. My children
told me long ago that it
was clear the real reason
I had kids was as an excuse to be a big
kid myself. All winter long we ski and
during the other seasons we play
tourist in our own region, visiting
museums, theme parks, and parks.
When we are home my son and I like
to cook together — and since he now
cooks better than I do, I assist him.”
“As a family, the thing
we love most is seeing
live music. ... Whether
it’s seeing someone like
the The National and
War on Drugs at
Merriweather Post
Pavilion, the kids from Soundcheck
Rock Academy on stage at the
Collective Encore, or one of the
emerging artists featured at the Color
Burst Concert Series in the
Merriweather District or the Columbia
Association’s Lakefront Live. … We
also frequent the 9:30 Club and
Anthem in DC and Soundstage and
CFG Arena in Baltimore and even
make concerts a part of our vacations.”
“Our favorite adventure
is always the beach –
any beach will do, but
we are true Marylanders
with a lifetime love for
[Ocean City]. We also
enjoy traveling to new
places, experiencing other cultures
and communities. We recently
traveled to a very small town in Ohio
to view the solar eclipse in totality.
What a sight! BUT, our best adventure
of late was visiting Cefalu, Sicily. We
just love being together!”
