is a tasteful decor of flowers, wall hangings
and several picture frames, should the bridal
couple care to personalize the premises with
family photos. Bathroom attendants are
available, on request.
“We’ve had guests say, ‘Can we have our
wedding in this bathroom?’ ” Bath said.
“Bridal groups have gotten dressed in there.
Others want to know if they can ‘party’ in the
trailers. It’s a good reassurance to know we
can provide amenities to someone’s special
day.”

[due to cancellations].”
Glam squad
for a decade. Last year, Molina and her crew
staffed 375 weddings, arriving at venues as
early as 3:30 a.m. to fuss over brides often
strained by the stress of it all.
They cater to all ethnicities, styling hair
and applying makeup at oft-difficult sites
such as cramped hotel rooms and old homes
with too few wall outlets for their accessories.
Molina has even readied one bride-to-be on
a boat.
Occasionally, she is asked to work on the
It’s the bride’s big day, and her beauty
team is on the clock. Priscilla Molina
knows the drill: the makeup artist has scant
hours before the ceremony to glam up the
betrothed and, perhaps, her bridesmaids —
plus a relative or two.
It’s a challenge all too familiar to Molina,
owner of PriscillaM Beauty, whose mobile
salon has serviced wedding parties in Anne
Arundel County and elsewhere in the region

groom, if he has long hair or a particularly
oily face.
Once, her team — which totals nearly 50
beauticians — primed 40 family members
of an Indian family, all on the day of the
wedding.
Through it all, Molina and her staff tend
to play the role of facilitators.
“We’re usually the first [wedding service]
to arrive, so we set the mood for the day,” she
said. It’s in her best interests to steady clients
unnerved by the hubbub unfolding around
them.
“Our eye makeup is waterproof,” she said,
“but if we see brides getting worked up as we
start doing their faces, we tell them to settle
down and don’t cry, or their makeup will
run.”
That stops the tears.
“They expect perfection, and we do our
best,” said Molina, 36. “Helping someone feel
beautiful, inside and out, is very satisfying.
At the end, when we hand brides a mirror
and see the look in their eyes, it’s priceless
to me.”
